April 11th, 2011.

/images/uploads/DSC05101_1.jpg Letitia Youmans was a teacher in Burlington and Picton in the 1840s, a position that made her acutely aware of the misery of families with drunken husbands and fathers. She became a temperance advocate founding the Women's Christian Temperance Movement in Canada in 1874. Read her life story in our article - A Sober Life - in the spring 2011 issue of Watershed Magazine. http://www.watershedmagazine.com
